It's over......

You know the feeling, the one that creeps up on you. Hints are dropped and then someone musters up the confidence to finally tell you. It starts with, "I don't know how to say this, so I'm just going to say it". They then don't say it for the next five minutes, worming their way to say what they have been told to say. Well it eventually happened, my local side hustle decided that they could do what I do better for free. I had been expecting it for sometime and was prepared for it. To be honest I had grown tired of trying to make something fresh and new every week with little or no input from the client. It had become a means to an end, a few quid each week to tide me over. At first I was a little angry but soon realised just how much I had been doing each week that I wasn't being paid for and how I had allowed myself to end up in that situation. I longed to have a normal weekend, with the family and now the client had given them back to me. So I enjoyed the first one and then started doing some work in the week. I had got to the point that by the time I had carried out the various tasks for them that I couldn't be bothered with anything else. It was like a breath of fresh air, I picked up some work from a new client, another saw it and asked me to do the same for them and by the end of the week, I had three new clients. Screw you, side hustle, I thought and feeling liberated produced some great work. It has kick started me, I'm posting and talking about me more than ever and it's opening enquiries locally and internationally. I didn't realise just how much I had stagnated over the past two or so years, concentrating all my efforts on just one thing. I've produced some new work, refreshed my brand and started work on updating MY website, for ME and it feels good. Thanks side hustle, it's over!
